calm down

This morning it was a bit chaotic at the store, well a lot. The promotion we're running just makes things crazy, very crazy. I guess free anything brings the people in. Well this woman was waiting for her free coffee as I was getting the order before that and she goes "excuse me, why aren't you getting my coffee." I turned around, smiled and was like "well, because it's the next order."

Not the correct answer.

So in order to please this irate customer who has actually bought nothing since the coffee is free, I grab the cup and ask her how she'd like it. I start to make it and she says something insulting under her breath. I was like "honestly, no need to be rude, I'm getting your coffee."

She goes, "I'm not being rude, you're just deaf."

At that point I go "oh no, now you're really being rude" and I notice all the other customers staring at this woman with looks like "who the fuck does she think she is."

So I hand her the coffee and the extra cream and sugar she wants and I'm like "you just have a great day with that free coffee."

The next customer I ask about how she wants her coffee and she's like "I just want cream and sugar, no big deal, no emergencies here, no one get upset," and we all laughed.

I wonder how tomorrow is going to go...
